Phoenix Healthcare Distribution is a major leader of pharmaceutical wholesalers within the United Kingdom. The company at present has 14 depots one of which is situated here in York. This depot services the whole of Yorkshire giving our customers a twice daily delivery service Monday to Friday and an additional service on a Saturday morning. The depot employs approximately 80 staff which includes warehouse, office and drivers.

In an ideal situation the depots employment needs are covered by our own employees but in the event of holidays, long term sickness and busy work load periods i.e. Easter and Christmas there is need for the depot to use agency staff. For the last four years the depot has used Drake International for additional recruitment needs. Over this period of time the service level provided has been of excellent quality. The standard of staff in respect adaptability, attendance and appearance cannot be faulted.

We have worked with Drake since 2002 when the SEHB embarked on its first overseas recruitment campaign for nurses. Drake was awarded the contract based on their ability to meet our needs locally.
